Daniel's brother, Steve, came in town this past weekend. Josh, Daniel's younger brother, lives with Daniel. Steve and his family live in Maryland. He's the oldest of the 6 siblings. I've met him once before when I went to Maryland during the Christmas holidays. He's super sweet. Really generous. Loving. Had a great time meeting all of Daniel and Josh's friends. It was great to get to hang out with him again! We went to the Stockyards and ate good ol' Texas barbecue at Riscky's on Friday. Saturday we swam at Nanu's (the lady I'm living with for the summer. She has a pool in her backyard. It's making for great afternoon relaxation!). Saturday afternoon/evening the brothers spent some time together and Steve shared wisdom from his years of marriage. Then the boys went out for a mini-bachelor party. Daniel got a bunch of random advice from men at the restaurant. Sunday was Steve's last day in Arlington. We went to church, then out to eat at Jason's Deli before we took Steve to the airport. I've recently met some girls from Saudi Arabia. They hung out with us at Jason's Deli as did Joshie and his girlfriend, Elizabeth. We had a great weekend with you, Steve!! So glad you could make it down!

Ash and Austin tied the knot May 20. They were all smiles the ENTIRE TIME! Now they're honey-mooning in Ireland.

PHOTO SHOOT - the to-be Audis

Daniel and I had our first ever PHOTO SHOOT a few weeks ago. Well, it was actually our engagement pictures, but it felt like a photo shoot. We had such a great time - laughing together, smiling together, reading the Word and praying together and letting the camera catch the love that we have for each other as we just hung out! Take me out to the ballgame...

We celebrated Daniel's 29th birthday early last night at an Orioles vs. Rangers game. We well got our money's worth - the game finally ended at bottom of the 12th inning with a homerun hit by the Rangers, breaking the 1-1 tie that had been running since like the 2nd inning. A highlight of the game...$1 hot dog night!!! Yep, the regular $3 and something hot dogs were only $1. Daniel and I paid 4x the cost of one hot dog for ONE twist-top bottled coke. I never cease to be amazed at the way you really get ripped off at events such as this!Nevertheless, the atmosphere was great, we had a great time with our friends, and enjoyed celebrating his big day together! Josh (my soon-to-be brother-in-law) and his girlfriend Elizabeth celebrated with us as did our friend Jen who we know from work and Dania who is on our team that is going to Turkey next summer! It was nice to share his special day with special friends. (Abdul, Tina and Mike, Amy, Izehi, Jim and DeeAnn...we missed you!)

It was the first of many birthdays to come that I get to spend with Daniel! Thank you Jesus for such a wonderful gift. HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY CANIM!!!
