SURPRISE!!!

Well, I planned a surprise party for Daniel Friday night...and in his words, he was 100% surprised! Brent and Rebecca helped me make the evening smooth, so he'd have no suspicions. We went to dinner and the plan was to have them over for dessert afterwards - that way, Daniel wouldn't be suspicious of the cake that was at the house! The plan went off WELL! And when we got home and he walked in the door, 8 of our friends awaited him, blowing those blower things and saying, "Surprise!" Another couple drove up right as we were walking, and a couple of our other friends came later in the evening.

The festivities consisted of German chocolate cake (Daniel's dessert request) and his mom's homemade apple pie! We sang the "Happy Birthday" song and he blew out his 3-0 candles. And the fun...we played "Pin the 'Audi' on the Daniel" - We blindfolded our friends and they had to put an 'outie' belly button on a 30x40 picture of Daniel. Rebecca was the winner!!
