The Dominican is BEAUTIFUL and we had a great time. Lots of time just to relax and hang out together. We went on a few of excursions - kayaking on the Caribbean Sea, riding horses through the palm tree and lucious green-covered countryside, riding in a jeep on a safari where we watched a lady make coffee, saw lots of fruits native to the Dominican, watched a man roll a cigar from tobacco leaves, drank coconut juice straight from the coconut, and met some really cool folks from England and Wales. After the safari, we swam through, climbed, and slid down 7 waterfalls, plunging into a pool of icy water on the final fall.
I know I said it was relaxing, then listed off a bunch of things we did. But...those were just a couple of the 7 days. The other 5 days we spent on the beach, under palm trees with the breeze blowing in from the Sea, or by the pool reading and talking. Or...we were in our room, recovering from the meal we had just eaten. At an all-inclusive resort, it's a bit difficult to turn down seconds and thirds!!
Here are some photos from our week in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic!
