Introducing...

Daniel! Well, he's not really new to this site, you've seen his picture several times now. Tonight I thought I'd tell you a bit about this person who seems to be showing up often on my site.
He's handsome - as you can see, and he loves the Lord passionately. He loves languages and cultures. He speaks Turkish and spent a couple of years in Turkey teaching ESL. He is lots of fun to be with!!! He loves to write and wants to write a book one day. He loves to laugh. He's silly. He's a prayer warrior. He is gentle and kind. He opens doors for me. He has a big family - he's one of six! He makes me smile - OFTEN. He has a heart for the nations, specifically M*sl*ms. He is super sweet to me. His roots are deep in his faith. His love for God and passionate pursuit of Him is evident in his daily life. He's so much fun to be with!!!

Somehow, in God's amazing grace and love, He has orchestrated a beautiful relationship between the two of us and I count my many blessings daily because of Daniel. When I tell the story of "us", to me it's a story of God's redeeming love and grace. Why He would bless me with a man like Daniel, I'm not sure unless He truly is the God Who loves us despite our sins, the God Who doesn't remember our sins, but Whose mercies are new every morning, the God Who loves to pour blessings over His children. And I know that our God is certainly all of these things. So I won't ask questions...I think I'll just take this amazing gift and thank Him for it! Isn't He good?!!!!

Well....HELLO!! Cool blog, Kim, and thanks for letting us in on it. So.....hello, Daniel. Nice to meet you bloggishly speaking. Clearly, from reading through Kim's blog, you've made a huge impact on her heart. Don't take that heart for granted, Fella ...but I doubt you will given Kim's description of you. She's an incredible girl, as you've figured out. Ain't afraid of much of anything...at least, the Kim I knew out here in the Arab World. You guys need to head this way some time....student trip, whatever. We'll put ya up.
Love you, Kim. Debbie M.

Debbie Mills, aren't you super sweet! :-) Glad you left a comment. Daniel has actually been in your country before. Back in the mid-90s he was there doing drama with Team MANIA. He's been in Egypt as well as other Arab countries, some places in South America and more. His heartbeat is for the nations which is of course incredibly attractive!

Good "bloggishly" hearing from you! Thanks for your sweet words.

MUCH LOVE

He's a right smart looking fella. I think it was that chin beard that made him. Glad ya'll had such fun in Ruston, looking forward to some good Ruston time at New Years. Maybe even a little Johnny's wouldn't hurt either.

HEY Kari!!! I always smile when reading the words you choose to write! Thanks for being so fabulous and thanks for the compliment on the pearls. I agree. Good pick. I'm sending the compliment on the bride though - they were her choice!

Well, hello hello MandyB!! Connections are WILD, aren't they? It truly IS a small world. Here's the scoop on Ryan and Quincy. Ryan was in Turkey when I was there and we remember each other from that trip. It was fun to see him and his wife that night. They are living in OK City now if you didn't know. Jami (his sister) just released a new album. Quincy...well, I met him that night at dinner. Daniel had "get-together-with-old-friends" night and I got to come along and meet Quincy. He's living in South Africa and surprised his family over Thanksgiving.

Jonathan Masson. Never met him, but Kari and I were at MLC together and I feel like I know him from having visited their blog so often and hearing just a bit about him from Kari last year upon her return and our debriefing at MLC.

And..about Daniel!!! Yes, AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING! God is so very good!!

I had a dream last night and you were in it. Nothing major, just a random dream - as are all dreams of mine. We passed by one another on a sidewalk, greeted one another, and continued to wherever it was we were going! Funny that you should write today!!!

Bless you girl!! IOWA...bet it's cold there right now!! We just had a couple of days of wind chill in the 0-10s!!! FREEZING! Of course, today it is 45 degrees. Go figure! Texas' weather seems about as unpredictable as Louisiana's.
